Leadership and Governance

The Cardiometabolic Precision Medicine Program aims to provide a forum for stakeholders in the cardiovascular and metabolic domains to engage in the development of precision medicine within their clinical practice and/or their clinical or basic science research. In order to do so the Executive Leadership and the Working Group have developed the following goals:
- Prioritize efforts and develop strategies to develop precision medicine across the domains
- Address infrastructure needs (manager, coordinators, data warehouse, bioinformatics)
- Help build and integrate programs across basic-translational-genomic-clinical strengths
- Facilitate faculty retention and recruitment (ongoing) and engage fellows/trainees
- Develop strategies for the return of genetic results to patients (Cardiometabolic Genetics Board)
- Advertise the unique clinical and academic program with Columbia University Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian
- Partner with Columbia University's Precision Medicine Initiative while enhancing local cardiovascular and metabolic disorders initiatives
